Unveiling the Venues: Spotlight on Le Petit Chateau
Unveiling the Venues: Le Petit Chateau
We’re so excited to bring you the second chapter in our new ‘Unveiling the Venues’ series! Music Newcastle are always so lucky to perform in such beautiful places, all with their own story to tell. This time we turn our attention to the majestic Le Petit Chateau.
A Charming Little Chateau
Our focus turns this week to a magical Mediterranean influenced chateau in the heart of Northumberland. The picturesque banks of the River Rede in Otterburn are home to the French-inspired venue, Le Petit Chateau. The river in the Redesdale Valley is famous for trout and salmon fishing and nearby Otterburn Mill has a rich wool milling and weaving history. With Kielder Forest and Reservoir only a few miles away it’s not hard appreciate the background and beauty of the surrounding area.
The site originally housed the Percy Arms Pub, a 17th century Coaching Inn. They welcomed guests over many years before it was transformed by The Apartment Group into the spectacular venue we see today. With sister venues Newton Hall and As You Like It, this unique venture unsurprisingly has a certain je ne sais quoi about it.
The sumptuous style of this one-off venue oozes from every minute detail. Stunning chandeliers with luxurious furnishings and fireplaces will amaze your guests as they soak in their surroundings.
From the serene and traditional to the boldly different, Le Petit Chateau can be anything you want it to be! With exclusive use of the venue, not having to share with other guests and events, the place is yours to do what you want with! No gatecrashers allowed!! The only welcome additional guests are the canine variety. As a dog friendly venue, the chateau will gladly accommodate your pooch into your event or stay.
No Ordinary Options!
Le Petit Chateau can accommodate any party from 30 to 160 guests by day and up to 220 by night! There are some amazing spaces for you to consider having your unique celebration and use in any combination you wish.
Le Belle Epoque is perfect for a romantic fairytale ceremony. The french chapel takes its name from the golden age of 19th century France, taking its inspiration from the beautiful art, architecture and culture of the time.
If you fancy your ceremony ‘al fresco’ you should head for the Mediterranean Terrace. The retractable roof will protect you from our unpredictable British weather and the crackling fire pits and unique water fountain will add to the magic of your outdoor experience.
You might prefer to hold your ceremony in The Chateau Ballroom. With floor to ceiling sliding doors that open out onto the Mediterranean gardens, you are spoilt for choice and options for your special day.
Your guests can enjoy the bespoke catering and some pretty unique cocktails! From the origins of the site, Le Petit Chateau has its very own coaching Inn, William de Percy, where a warm welcome awaits. After this they can retire to one of the 31 ensuite boutique bedrooms the venue has to offer.
So many options to weave music in to your special event at Le Petit Chateau! Is a pianist during your ceremony in Le Belle Epoque your kind of thing? Maybe an acoustic set at your drinks reception on the Mediterranean Terrace would be more to your taste? How about an evening band that will get your guests taking a stylish spin on The Chateau Ballroom dance floor? Or all of the above! No matter what your personal taste this venue has the perfect spot to house your musical choices.
Le Petit Chateau is a place for fun and laughter, whatever the occasion. Specialising in unique weddings, private parties and corporate entertaining, they really are one in a million. But don’t just take our word for it – go and see for yourselves. You’ll not be disappointed.
