“A perfect MD, band leader and all round team player. The best pianist I have ever worked with!” (Peter Morris, professional musician)

“I’ve had a lot of musical directors in many musical hobbies, and Mark is the best ever!” (Margaret, Take Note Community Choir)

Do you have a set fee?
The short answer is no. Every project is quoted on an individual basis, depending on workload and time involved. Please get in touch to discuss your project.

Can you provide a rehearsal pianist to work alongside you?
Absolutely, not a problem. We have a number high-quality pianists available for rehearsal and performance work.

Can you provide recorded rehearsal tracks?
Yes, sure. If you would like vocal recordings of each individual part sung for you, or would like piano backings to practice to, this is all possible.

Do you only work with choirs and music theatre projects?
No not at all. Music Newcastle can also call upon many years of experience to provide coaching and direction for pop and rock bands on rehearsal skills, arranging, songwriting and much more. For example, Mark first started working with English black metal band Winterfylleth in a musical director roll before being asked to join the band!

My business would like to form a musical group or choir as a part of staff development. Can you help with that?
Yes – Music Newcastle would be happy to discuss whatever kind of music group you have in mind and provide all the resources you will need. Music staff development can be offered on a one-off basis, or as part of a bigger project as necessary.

Are you prepared to travel outside the north-east?
Yes absolutely. Mark has worked in the United States, France, and across the U.K. His arrangements have also likewise been performed in countries including Holland, Canada, and Finland.

Our group has a regular MD but we would like someone to cover them when they can’t make it. Can you provide this service?
Absolutely, occasional or consultancy sessions are always possible. Please Contact Music Newcastle to discuss your group’s needs.
